The Hawaii Mentor Project named “Ho’owaiwai” was founded by Jack Palmer who as a resident of Oahu for over 30 years has built and operated over a dozen companies and now provides Hawaii’s youth (‘Keiki’) a path to explore their entrepreneurial pursuits and find roots in the workplace or gig economy.
Ho’owaiwai in Hawaiian culture and language means “the ACTIVE process of generating wealth and well-being, emphasizing the interconnectedness of individuals with their community in that pursuit.”
Along with the generosity and guidance from their Kupuna, and our Keiki honoring these elders who embody wisdom, experience, and cultural knowledge, the “generation gap” is closed momentarily while our mentors and serve as a beacon for Hawaii’s youth.
